Meg Rubino Art
Yellow Sol Studio
My name is Megan Rubino. I live in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina with my husband and two young children. I graduated from Bucknell University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Minor in Art. After teaching elementary school for 4 years, I returned to East Carolina to receive a second degree in Art Education with a focus in studio art. I moved to the Outer Banks in 2003. The natural beauty of the Outer Banks motivated me to pursue my true passion, painting. I am inspired by the “little things” and try to capture the essence of my subject matter. I paint many local landscapes attempting to convey the good feelings they bring. I also love traveling to other coastal and mountain towns to experience and recreate the local color. I paint in watercolor and acrylic and tend to apply my mediums boldly. I hope my pieces make you feel good and inspire you to embrace the little joys you experience daily! I participate in local art shows and my work can be found in galleries along the Outer Banks including:

Sea and Sounds DCAC Gallery, Manteo
